My name is Billy Tan, I was born in 1978 and am currently still alive.
Apart from being a vicarious tech geek and library fan, I also spent a sizable part of my youth thinking I was tres cool and started a short-lived band. We didn’t last very long. Now I just sit around mourning my squandered youth and wait for the next big thing to happen. Ok, I’m doing something about it right now, but wah lau, it’s not exciting at all.
In any case, what started as a blog to document my search for a new job has evolved into more of the usual personal ‘blah blah’ blog, not that I’m not interesting. In fact, I am the dog’s bollocks. So thanks for stopping by, and drop me a comment once in awhile.

Hello, popped by to read how your dad was doing, cos I read sometime back in your blog that he was going to go for a big surgery. Sounds like a by-pass to me. Aneurysm? Clogged arteries? My Dad went thru a big thing lately too, in place of a by-pass which was high-risk for him, he was lucky to be given choice of a stenting. Alright, I have digressed LOADS. Good lucks for yr NIE stint, and yes, I think you would make a fabulous teacher. Just remember all the “DONTS” from the RV days.
Wow, I’m glad your dad’s ok now. Quite a scary experience, I’m sure. Guess we’re all at that age where our parents are getting properly old and senior citizen-y. Appreciate your asking after him.
